The heartlands of Singapore is where true Singaporean heritage lies. Each with its own unique culture and secrets. Go on a tour of Joo Seng to uncover its hidden treasures, from provision shops to antique houses, to traditional food.
Kueh making is a lost art, meet the people trying to keep the heritage alive while providing gainful employment and training to those who need it most. The tour ends with a hands-on kueh workshop to make delicious Png Kueh (Rice kueh), so you’ll learn the skills to make kueh at home too! Participants will get to bring home their kuehs and a plastic kueh moulds.
Our impact partner, Yoon’s Traditional Kueh, provides employment and training to female ex drug offenders and gives them an avenue for rehabilitation.
